Hello dear,

How's everything? Have you tick any one from your checklist? Have you talked to your team already? I guess you're almost there towards a successful event but one thing is missing- you forgot to put a curve in your face. And to put that on and add some spark in your heart, I'd like to share with you the wisdom I recently gained.

First and foremost, you've got to care of your people-your working team. They will be with you from the start until the end. Lead them to the goals you want them to take while motivating and appreciating their works at the same time. Keep in mind that they are the mover and shaker of your event.

Second, proper organization starts with you- by believing in yourself that you can. After having intensive planning for the event, you will start to be overwhelmed by your duties and responsibilities. Don't drop like a hot potato, stand still, keep moving and believe everything will just fall into place.

Lastly, if you feel like you’re toppled down by predicaments while on the midst of preparation, stay calm, take a deep breath and handle it with a low key. Even though you believe you have covered up the necessary spaces to fill in and thought of the possible problems that will soon arise, there are really some things you can’t control and is inevitable. You’ll get over this. You’ve been preparing this for so long, everything will just be fine.

Trust the process girl. Trust me, I've been there. alot.

Personal message…

Aloha! Welcome! Ohziness blog aims not to change the world and make it a better place for you and for me. It is a look into my life-my personal blog as I say. Since various memes are running through my head and just suddenly pops out from nothing, I decided to find a better channel where to put it and… Viola! A baby blog was created...

I basically see satisfaction in writing and whenever I put my thoughts to words.  I hold responsible for any misused words, incorrect grammar, spelling error and the like as I’m not perfect, a trained writer, an English major nor good in any literary works. So please bear with me. I accept constructive criticism and comments as well as I always see this as a chance to improve and grow.

It's been 7 months from the day we launched our micro enterprise-Foodie Company. And it's completely more than what we expected. Engaging into business is a tough job as it requires much money, time and effort. We realized that such of our business plans and proposed strategies that we already prepared beforehand will not totally be implemented for as business grows, you need to adjust, adapt and think more innovative ways to attract customers, increase sales and gain profit.

A month ago, our finance manager gives us the certain budget allocated for marketing. It's very limited and I, as the promotions manager, was challenged to somehow think of some better ways that could create an effective marketing activities with less effort or cost yet creates a higher impact whether to attract people's attention or encourage them to purchase it.

Marketing doesn't have to be costly especially for micro or medium enterprise or even for some startup company. You just have to secrete those creative or new concepts/resources you and your work teams have and implement it together to see better result.

And from the previous operating months, we come up for some small marketing budgets like this...
  • Start a blog
This is to increase online visibility.

  • Leverage social networks
The company created its facebook page as a means to market their product, post more updates and getting in touch with its current and prospect customers.

  • Attend to some events

KUMBIRA 2014
Foodie Company is very thankful for the Student Entrepreneurship Center Committee for the chance to participate Kumbira 2014.
Kumbira is a professional and student annual culinary show and live competition held in Cagayan de Oro,Mindanao, Philippines.[1] It is the largest culinary event in Mindanao, lasting for three days (wikipedia.com)
Aside from competition, it also has exhibits of different business establishment. This gives us a chance to expose our product through exhibit thus be able to see and experience various culinary work.

Launching all the micro enterprise of fourth year students.
  • Practice enhancing customer service skill.
It's the cheapest thing we could do as word of mouth from customer creates higher impact.

  • Create promos, discounts and diversifying to new products.

There are some proposed strategies that are yet to be implemented.
We all have that sort-of definition or purpose why we blog. May it be personal, travel, business and the like. Below are the reasons why I blog:

I hope so.

Clock alarms, its 6am. And I received a tons of greetings via text messages and even missed some calls from my family and relatives. Overwhelming as it is, I've always been that girl who tends to be so excited welcoming a new chapter of life.

Waking up, I then realized time flies so fast that I'm already on the stage of saying bye "teen" life and hello "twenties.  Though I am kinda reluctant of myself saying I'm 20 yet I had more to thankful for being at this stage where I can say my past years had molded me so much to be better now.

I'm so happy that I had the chance to celebrate my birthday with those people I am presently surrounded with like my college friends so as with my old friends in high school and grade school.

Greetings from my JMA Family. I so love the poster they posted. Thanks Jezyl for this! :)

Thanks FS Foodie Company Buddies! This year was a bit tough for us yet I know we can do this as a team. Thanks for being a good student-manager of our humble business and for helping me lead the team.

When I knew they were available at my given date, I instantly grabbed the chance to invite both of you out for a dinner together since I never had a chance to have you whenever I had a lil celebration at home due to our busy sched.

These are always her prayers, hopes and greetings to me-to see me fat, to even add 5-8 pounds of my weight and even willingly give away her fats to me if possible. Sorry Jean, I think it's not just yet...

In any means (twitter, facebook, insta, etc), I'm very overwhelmed by all your birthday greetings. Below,  I just want to share some of those unusual greetings of my friends xD

A dinner with my best friends then and now
Trixy, my childhood bestie, despite of our distances, manages to keep in touch and visit me here in CDO if time permits. I do appreciate each and every effort she makes.

I remember how Julie and I laughed about what our life could be in our early 20s. She is fond of predicting what my life could be xD lets see if you Ace it haha
An overwhelming message from our XU JMA President.
Its funny how I break their first impression to me and realized how completely opposite as I were. I think, when you're comfortable with that person, you intentionally or unintentionally reveal yourself to her.
Greetings from our ever supportive and the best JMA Moderator <3
For the love and support, I will always be grateful Sir Chee! :)

From my close college friends:

A heartfelt message from Ladylou. This girl never fails to surprise me with her words though some I thought our hyperbolize and the way she sees me that is well to hidden.
Carrie's message stays to be so sweet and cute as the way she is. You really see me as a person who inspires others ha
Emotional yet very sweet message from my very close friend in college -Wendy
The first kindda long message from my best friend... Because she used to be that girl who gives a maximum of 2 lines birthday message, now I consider it as a miracle. haha
To all those who remembered, greeted and celebrated my birthday with me, THANK YOU so much :) You just made me feel loved and special...

I am one of the few who took a longer time and meditation to decide what course to take in college. After I assessed myself so much, I have come to realize what major area or subject I should be focusing. And choosing marketing, i think, just best suits me.

Should I go? Is it really necessary? I got some work to do. These are just some questions that perturb my mind and took me a day to decide if I should go with my mom and visit my relatives in the province or not. Well, those latter questions seem to unravel the answers I was hoping for. Oh yes, I come to think that sometimes I need to derail myself from the monotonous routine and responsibilities from the urbanism. Break sa ta kadali.
