Just as after our Canton Fair visit, we also dropped by different places around Guangzhou.

Lounge Area of Fraser Suites
Overview from the hotel

Basically, this is our first time to ride in subway in China and so Ma'am Ann taught us how to use this machine to take tickets and follow directions.
All Smiles for the first ride!

Too excited to aka hoard the things we see here

where every corner or showroom is so lit

Probably our best shopping experience
Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street
This is a commercial pedestrian street in Liwan District, and is considered to be the first business street in Guangzhou.

It showcases traditional Cantonese architecture. And it is a very attractive place for shopping, buying souvenir. I notice you can haggle the price with local vendor for they tend to set the price high (obviously)

There are many small shops, cafes, restaurants and it is an interesting place to experience the smell, sight and taste of how the local live.

From a seat sale rush to Bantayan touch, this is how my best friends and I planned this spontaneous trip to Cebu. We’re so excited like a child that we will travel in Visayas region for the first time.

Tucked away from the busy and fast paced streets of the city, Bantayan Island lies off the northern tip of Cebu. This is pretty much a laid-back alternatives to Boracay (where it’s technically close for redevelopment) and these ladies are ready to set foot in this beautiful hidden gem.

As we arrived and observed the nature of the place, I sense “peace” in an instant. From the serene atmosphere, hospitality of our fellow Filipinos down to the pure and sheer beauty of beaches, I know this island is therapeutic. It's all we need.

Obo-ob Mangrove Eco Park
Entrance Fee is Php 50

As this was our first stop, we’re oh so ready with full of energy to take different shots and enjoyed an early morning stroll where pathways are made out of bamboo and mangrove tress are all over the place.

It is also where we found one of the shooting areas of famous Camp Sawi movie starring Bella Padilla, and others.

Imagine having a fresh air, seeing a powdery white sand bar with a turquoise waters and gentle waves right infront of you. You will never miss the chance to take photos and dipped into this majestic view.

By noon we were just lying under the shade by the shore, talking and taking the moment.

Seeing the Island at our Own Pace. HOW? By renting a bike!

It was late afternoon where we found out that we can rent a bike at our chosen hotel. And so we head in to different beaches of the island, passes by the market , sleepy villages, school, church and among others. It’s a good take to see what some tourists never get to see.

Entrance fee: Php 500 per 2 person; php 100 per person in excess of 2

Another clear blue beach, white sand that captivates our hearts. This is also a good place to just chill and relax. The island is really good but let me just say that everything is quite expensive (cottages, food, other services) so you might need to shell out more.

A wonderful day in Bantayan is ending and one of our favorite thing to chase is the sunset! And it never fails to astound us with its golden hues!

Bantayan Island! We weren't broken and miserable when we came but you fill our hearts with so much joy and tranquility!

Should I go? Is it really necessary? I got some work to do. These are just some questions that perturb my mind and took me a day to decide if I should go with my mom and visit my relatives in the province or not. Well, those latter questions seem to unravel the answers I was hoping for. Oh yes, I come to think that sometimes I need to derail myself from the monotonous routine and responsibilities from the urbanism. Break sa ta kadali.
After an almost 9 hour travel from Cagayan de Oro City, we finally arrived at Crown Jewel of Mindanao or popularly labelled as the Durian Capital of the Philippines - Davao City.
Aside from the the marketing convention we are up to, we certainly didn't miss the chance to enjoy our two days trip around the city.
