As they say, this is the grandest and most instagrammable party that has ever happened in CDO.
Here's an outdated  post or a glimpse of what happened from the last The Nest CDO grand opening.

About The Nest CDO:
Tucked away from the busy streets of Cagayan de Oro, The Nest is one of the many modern-day lifestyle hubs to enter the country's dining scene. Sparking the interest of curious foodies since it opened last June 2016. The Nest, carries two exciting food destinations, namely, Maison de Bon Bon and Giuseppe Pizzeria & Sicilian Roast. It's the best of both worlds and people just can't get enough of its French inspired cuisine and Authentic Italian Recipes. More on www.thenestcdo.com

An outstanding performance from CDO's best performers- Muriel Lomadilla and Arthur Neri

Hosted by yours truly and James Tubeo
TBH I never really wanted to host the event but given that it was I who arranged and has the idea on the flow of the program, this left me with no choice. We hosted the event on the spot due to some unforeseen circumstances. Big thanks to James for really helping us pull this event off.

It makes you feel proud to be in a brand whom you have been working for now being recognized with a reputable organization/company that acknowledges its products, quality and service to the customers. Just so last August 2016, Mindanao Gold Star Daily awarded Missy Bon Bon as the Best Delicacy 2016.

Keeping this post for keeps. I'm so glad to see the whole marketing team with our manager on a newspaper feature.

It was indeed a successful fun-filled meet and greet event with today's leading digital influencers in the country- Laureen Uy, Camille Co, Nicole Andersson, Vern Enciso and Verniece Enciso at Maison de Bon de Bonbon Restaurant last July 23, 2016. Together with the winners of our #Thenestcdo online contest, everyone gets really excited to see their favorite digital icons and listens to their pieces of advice about life, fashion and of course, into blogging.

If I am to share how I am feeling at that very moment, it's really indescribable. I've never imagine to see all of my favorites into one setting and a challenge chance to organize the said event for them!

Thanks to James Tubeo for hosting the event, Jezyl Butaya and Grace Dy (brand officers) for initiating other internal activities, Vic Madriaga as our social media strategist, Micheal Sy as our videographer and Mikko Mahinay (MIA) as our PR officer.

It was an exclusive and intimate event where winners get to see upclose with these influencers at the center of the long table.

Here I am to Share 4 things I've Learned:

No one starts off being excellent
As you can see on their respective accounts, all their content emphasizes a great quality of images, videos and blog posts. Because admittedly, readers won't stop by your page unless you create visually appealing material with a substantial content. But before they become proficient at what they do, they allow themselves to be a beginner; Enciso sisters thoroughly share to practice, get out and shoot every day and learn what you do best.

Be Your Authentic Self
"To be authentic is not to allow a situation or person to change you, unless for the better." Camille Co said. In this digital world, it is really hard to compete with others, as with anything else, you have to focus on being the best you by affirming your potential, shrug off public opinion and building the best business for yourself and to your readers.

Never be afraid to make mistakes
I remember Laureen Uy mentioned that before, there are some styles that she regretted posting online because she puts too much accessories. But one thing she wanted to share is to learn from every mistakes you make. Experience will always be a good teacher. And it is really important to know what kind of style you're in because it then reflects you as a person. Research well, try different trends and surround yourself with good people who can mentor you. Hence, whatever makes you look good makes you feel good.

On handling bashers

Bashers will always be there. Some are even really mean but don’t take it too personally. It takes time to get used of it. As what Nicole Andersson said "Minsan ang sarap ng patulan pero you know what, just appreciate them." For every troll, there are a thousands of people who value what you do.

One of the marketing initiatives for the soft opening of The Nest CDO is to invite bloggers and influencers. And for the first time, I had this opportunity to worked with these two leading lifestyle bloggers- David Guison and Vina Guerrero.
David Guison and her girlfriend, Vina Guerrero for  soft opening of The Nest CDO.
Looking at these two, definitely matches the concept of the brand.

All thanks to our PR officer who reaches out to them and gladly received a positive response.

One of the marketing initiatives for the soft opening of The Nest CDO is to invite bloggers and influencers. And for the first time, I ha...
Truly with a bang! Not just once but twice! We invited Jomie Hospital and his team to perform at Boy Zugba Corrales.

Proudly a Butuan-on, Jomie Hospital, a 23-year old online personality from the city of Gingoog is sharing his wit and talent through his well crafted, witty and funny relatable videos across the social media. He is well known for his comical skits and well-played characters together with  his brother Abing and Madam Cece (screen name).

After MMKD's outstanding live performance, we made an intensive research on how we can invite Jomie other than messaging him on FB. Like other famous online personalities, it is a great challenge to get notice given that he has high and active online engagements. Luckily, we have Sir Vic, who once worked with Jomie, helped us in getting in touch with him.

Jomie and his team are so excited about their FIRST on-stage performance.

We're overwhelmed with those positive responses and requests from our online audience and with that, we bring them once again to another performance. This time, we have now have Madam Cece ;)

Video from Jomie Hospital Youtube page

Not everyone knows who Mayman Ka Dhai (MMKD) is. This group of Dhai (slang for a girl) composed of Steffi Jardin and Meunnie Cullantes.

MMKD is one of the few rising bisaya online sensation taking every millennial to a new level of practical parody videos. With almost 100k Facebook followers and has a very high engagement, these individuals are slowly and consistently establishing their name in the vlogging world.

One video that made them popular is the How to Be a Fashion Blogger which has approx. 100k views, a thousands of engagements attracting every young how to pose like pro and showing –unfiltered life of a blogger.

Now as Boy Zugba, a proudly Kagay-anon restaurant supports Bisaya Artist, we invited Steffi and Meunnie to perform on stage to Boy Zugba's every Friday Night Show “Tara Go Its Beerness”. With great anticipation as this will be their “First Live” performance, these two never missed any funny skits from their popular videos now turned live show for their fans.

Indeed, it was a fun and full packed performance almost everyone demands a second round. It’s funny how I just randomly scroll to my FB page and share it with the team, then it turns out to be a major special event for the brand. This is great opportunity to boost bisaya talents and be connected with their CDO fans.

Thank you sir Vic Madriaga for the feature:

Now, this last marketing activity is so dear to me. Despite the almost-canceled-planned due to some unforeseen circumstances, we're happy that we're able to pull it off.

Thanks to my never-give-up inday attitude which pushes me so hard to continue this almost a month-long planned activity. Since Missy Bon Bon kiosk is strategically located at the departure area of Laguindingan Airport, we gave out hundreds of pastel boxes to every passenger. See how excited and proud we were in sharing this sweet treat with them. Watch until the end ;)

And I still get the same chill watching the video. Overwhelmed by the positive feedback and online engagement (almost 50k facebook views) and offline results; seeing the reactions of those who were able to receive and those who are happy with the kind of initiative we made are worth more than a dollar of happiness and we are so humbled

So blessed I got the best team! <3

This wouldn’t be possible with the coordination of our kiosk manager Ms. Bevirlyn Galupo, admin officers of Laguindigan airport for allowing us to celebrate our 6th anniversary (I know how tight the security is), kudos to the security head and personnel as well for assisting us in placing the pastel boxes on the conveyor belt. And of course, my teammates at this project– Johari, AJ and the best videographer in town- Micheal Sy! Without you guys, things will never turn out so well.

PS.. Including me in the video was never in the plan. A light makeup, spontaneous scripts and sudden change of some concepts are just one of the challenges me and the team encounter.
