After an almost 9 hour travel from Cagayan de Oro City, we finally arrived at Crown Jewel of Mindanao or popularly labelled as the Durian Capital of the Philippines - Davao City.
Aside from the the marketing convention we are up to, we certainly didn't miss the chance to enjoy our two days trip around the city.

I asked my friend to describe me as a person. As strange as it is, I was compared to a bamboo. With confusion, I ask why. Was it because I'm tall and skinny?

She then explained that I’m like a bamboo because no matter what nature throws its way, I dare to stand strong with a positive attitude. My ability to bend and not be broken from different challenges in life amazes her. Well, I just smiled because she knows a snippet of my life.

Personally, I remember how many times I cried, depressed and frightened with what tomorrow holds. It's easy to get discouraged but just as a bamboo, it pays to bend and be flexible.

So when you’re thrown into a very confusing situation like the strong violent breeze, know that it’ll just give you a lesson to learn the hard way. Continue to hold on, have faith and trust that everything will just be perfectly fine.

Better to Bend than to Break

Many times, things we complain about are the good things.
We grumble about having too much work while others don't even have one.
We complain waking up early in the morning while others don't even have a reason to live.
We stress about gaining weight while others don't even have food on their tables.
Everyday, the Lord fills our lives with so much goodness.
All we need to do is open your eyes and give thanks for each them.
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. -1 Thessalonians 5:1
I ponder upon this after receiving this message from a friend.

If I'll be asked how was I able to implement it right despite pressures of being a starter or newbie of our organization, I think it comes from enjoying the work while maintaining a positive outlook and good attitude despite challenges and uncertainties and most especially, having faith to Almighty.
As the project head for the 2013 general assembly, I am bound to do all the necessary steps and networks to take and I've been through series of exquisite roller-coaster refining moments just to make this event possible. Here it is:

When Poy was seven,
He fond watching Mr. Bean.
It always kept him wonder,
On a lesson to live and not to surrender.

Mr. Bean's life is full of mystery,
and has no space for misery.
Always shares insights,
His ideas that are always bright.

He luckily has Teddy,
 who is very steady.
Now, as they together sleep at night,
They hugged so tight.

Coffee, cream and sugar differ in taste, so as with our friends. Each has its own uniqueness- lifestyle, interest, fashion, gadgets and other girly stuff.  All we have to do is to embrace it. In addition, when coffee, cream and sugar are together, they make perfect blend. We are happy and contented with its taste. If we miss one of the most important ingredients, it will not be the perfect mix. Indeed, we must cherish our friends regardless for who they are because they are the one who makes life humanly perfect. They make wonders to one's life so as its taste delights an individual.

Why do we miss a person? Is it because we realized that we never treasure the moments when they were always there and left us wishing we could turn back time again
or
we were too happy with them, we enjoyed every single moment that we became so used to the idea of having them around but when we finally walked separate lives, we realized that a moment spent without them is like dying stars which slowly leave the sky.
